Look at this Seaside Bay Card! LOTS of Stuff Inside the Card!

If you watched my last video, on the pop & twist (fold) cards, this is one of the ones I made!

Here’s the inside:

I love that these cards can have lots of embellishments, stamped images, etc!

Here’s my video on how to make these:

You can find the PDF of instructions on the left hand of my site (from a computer) or at the very bottom (on a phone).

Pop & Twist Cards! Two Sizes!

I saw the Pop & Twist (or Pop & Fold) technique years ago, and saw it again recently. I love it!

After making a vertical card, I decided I wanted to make a horizontal one. I had to figure out the dimensions and thought I’d make a video of how to do it!

I show how to do both in this video.

This card shown is just one of the four I show in the video. I’ll share the others soon!

I also did a short video:

I first stamped the Rays of Light on Basic White with So Saffron ink. I stamped the tree branch (from the Perched In a Tree stamp set and Aspen Tree Dies) with Early Espresso. I used one of my water painters to bleed the ink a little.

The leaves is one of the dies from Aspen Tree dies. I used the In Color Glimmer paper.

For the inside, I used the kite die from the Playing in the Rain dies. The letters are from the A la Mode dies.

To see my PDFs of instructions (it’s two pages- one for vertical, one for horizontal), here you go (click on it to see both pages). They will also be under my instructions:

You are Wonderful with a Lantern!

I still love the SU Lighting the Way bundle. That lantern is fantastic!

I die cut the lantern with the Brushed Metallic paper. I stamped the lightning bugs with Basic Gray and then colored them with Daffodil delight. I stamped the “light” inside the lantern with Crushed Curry and cut it out.

The leaves behind it were stamped with Garden Green, Soft Succulent, and Sea Foam. I then used my Blending Brush with Pool Party to cover the background.

For the sentiment, I colored each word with a different Write Marker: Garden Green, Soft Succulent and Crushed Curry. I stamped each word individually, and then cut them. The sentiment actually says “You are all kinds of wonderful!” I decided just to use “You are wonderful!”

I’m working on a video of a really cool type of card- I hope to be done this weekend. If you subscribe, you’ll get an email when I post something. If you want to subscribe, click on it and then confirm the email they sent you.

A Turtle with a Heart!

We made this card in my classes last week. It was a favorite of many people!

I love that Playing in the Rain can be used for so many types of cards. That cute little turtle is holding a flower, but after stamping and die cutting, you cut a piece of it off and add the heart die from the Love for You Dies.

We colored him just with Mossy Meadow blends.

The “Love You” dies were cut with Basic White and Sweet Sorbet. The heart behind the Love You is from the Country Bouquet Punch with Mossy Meadow paper.

The Split Card Textures dies are one of my favorites. I made the cherry card with it. When I was designing this card, I wanted some thing in the corner/left side. This die with the Country Floral Lane DSP behind it is perfect for a love card!

The stump is from the Playing in the Rain dies. We used Soft Suede cardstock.

Using Dies for Stencils AND the Negative Piece for the Background! Video!

My youngest son’s girlfriend has a birthday this month. She loves butterflies so I decided to dig out the Butterfly Wings dies to make her a card!

You might have seen my video from March of 2021 and how I did some of this. Here’s a link to the post and you can see my original video there:

Beautiful Butterflies!

Here’s my recent video with the same idea, but another trick!

Rain or Shine? Faith over Fear!

Playing in the Rain from Stampin’ Up can be used for so many cards!

First, I embossed Smoky Slate cardstock with the Raindrops Embossing Folder. I actually used Versamark on the folder before embossing, to make my rain drops a little shiny. I used the side where the drops are not embossed- not sticking up-the side where they sink a little bit.

I then stamped some clouds (from the Playing in the Rain stamp set) with Smoky ink on Basic White. I used my Blender Pen with Smoky to add some color to the middle.

I die cut the fox from the Rain or Shine DSP.

I wanted a hill or grass for the fox to walk on. One of the dies from Around the Bend worked perfect. I used Mossy Meadow cardstock. I added some Wink of Stella to give it a wet look.

I just couldn’t decided on what sentiment to use. I looked through my stuff and I saw the “Faith over Fear” in the Charming Sentiments. I thought it was perfect- here’s a happy fox in terrible weather!

Golden Cherries! Two Cards and a Video!

When I saw the Share a Milkshake stamp set in the mini, I loved it, but I especially loved the sentiment “You’re the Cherry on Top”. I’ve had the Sweetest Cherries bundle for a while and I always thought it should have the sentiment!

I wanted the cherries to have some shine or sparkle, so I looked through all my stuff and the Gilded Leafing won!

Since the cherries are shiny gold, I decided to put the Distressed Gold paper behind my Split Card Textures die cut.

Here’s another card I made during the video. Just some color change and I added leaves from the punch with Distressed Gold.

Here’s the quick video of me making the pink card:
