and I thought of an idea! I had stamped the girls on the bike and cut it out, and I thought it would be really cute if they were on a beach.
Lots of things on this card are retiring! The stamps Sharing Sunshine (boo hoo!) and Right Behind You (boo!). The dies I used to make the ropes around the diorama (diorama dies are NOT retiring- YAY!) are from the Smooth Sailing dies, sad to see those go. Things are selling out fast- so get something soon that you love!
The palm tree is from the Paradise Palms that are in the current mini catalog. Love how tall they are!
If the price is in red, it’s on sale! Some stuff has already sold out- if you want something, buy it soon! You can also see all the products with this link:
My youngest son (14 year old Christian) runs on a Cross Country team. One of his teammates, younger than him, had been sick for a few weeks and found out a few weeks ago why. He has leukemia. He is 9 years old, has two younger siblings and his parents are expecting their fourth kid, due this month. As a mom, I can’t even imagine. I have been praying for him and his family nonstop.
They are doing a meal train for the family- here’s the link:
I wanted to make him a card that would be from Christian. I started with a different stamp set and realized it was just not right (I’ll show that card in a few days). Even though he is 9, I know from experience that boys are a little “cooler” starting around that age.
Our XC team colors are green and black, so I wanted to use that. I stamped the spiral twice- once in Granny Apple Green, rotated the paper 180°, and then in Soft Sea Foam. Use the Stamparatus for this!
I also stamped the spiral on the envelope using Soft Sea Foam.
I stamped two sentiments from the stamp set Through it Together. I used two different die cuts from Tasteful Labels.
I made these cards months ago. September and October are so dang busy for my family! I finally got around to make a video! Get ready to laugh- I made several errors and still included them!
All supplies used for these cards are listed below. The video shows how to use the Basic Borders Dies to make a scalloped edged gate card!
I had some of the leftover Be Dazzling paper that I had inked up with Daffodil Delight refill ink and the Spritzers (you can see the video of it in the post below).
I cut it with the circle dies and then used After the Storm stamp set to stamp the rays, birds, and sentiment. The rays were Daffodil Delight and Mango Melody.
I bought these papers several months ago and never even really looked at them. When I did, whoa. That stuff is so sparkly and so dang pretty!
For the leaves card, I made this for a class I had last week.
I die cut the leaves from the Soft Succulent shimmer vellum. You could die cut something big and just place it on plain Basic White cardstock and that card would be gorgeous!!
For the circle swirls, I used the stamp set “Sparkle of the Season” that’s in the mini catalog. I used the Stamparatus to stamp all three- two in Bumblebee and one in Misty Moonlight. During the class, I showed everyone how to do it, so I had an extra one and decided to make something totally different.
I got out the Ombre paper and what the what??? It is also so sparkly!!! Gorgeous!
I die cut the stars and put them inside the circle. I wanted to add Balmy Blue in some way, so I got out one of my Stampin’ Spritzers and my ink refill in Balmy Blue.
I added 10 drops of the ink, and then added 91% rubbing alcohol about 3/4 full in the Spritzer. I sprayed that on top to give it a little color. I’ll have a video soon of doing this with another paper that comes out so dang good!
The sentiment is from “Create with Friends”. I stamped it with Misty Moonlight and then fussy cut it.
I love to show how you can use a very similar thing on two cards and make them totally different! Holler if any questions!
