Whoa! Happy Birthday!

Awe, my favorite chick! I stamped him once regularly, and then reverse imaged him. Here’s the video showing how I do that:

I colored them both with Blends markers. I inked up the new Spiral Die stamp with Bermuda Bay and the Blending Brushes. There’s a couple of things on this card from the new upcoming catalog (I’ll update the product list once they go live):

  • Spiral Die Stamp
  • Basic Borders Dies (the hill they are standing on)

When I made this card, I thought it would be cool for a teenager. I showed it to my 15 year old and he laughed and said “those look like teenage chickens. Or surfers. Duuuuuude!” Success!

Let me know if you have any questions!

3 Sliders Card! Video!

Sliders cards have been around for a long time. I used to make them all the time!

I decided I wanted to make a card with 3 sliders and have it be a “skinny” card. I had to sit down and figure out the measurements and how to make the tracks for the sliders. I put the instructions in a PDF- click on it below and it will open up the full PDF- and I will have it available under “instructions” on the right side. Once I make other slider cards that are different sizes, I will update the PDF with the measurements on those as well.

Watch the video to see how I did it!

Three Bow Ties!

When the Jan-June mini came out, I loved the Handsomely Suited Bundle on page 57. As you may know, I live with 4 boys (my husband and our 3 sons) and one girl (my dog Maggie!). So, I need to make man/boy cards quite a bit. This morning, I decided to stamp 3 bow ties and came up with a layout. Now when I look at the card, it may even look like the star has three bows on it. Hmm. Well, anyway, I still like this card!

The dies and stamps will be in the new Annual Catalog, but here’s the difference:

  • They will not be in a bundle, so you won’t get the 10% off for the dies and stamps.
  • The DSP will not be carrying over.
  • The Twine will not be carrying over.

So, you have until 6/30/21 to get the bundle deal and the paper and twine if you want them! The paper is one of my favorites.

What?

Oh, man, I love the Hey Chick Bundle. The chicken on the front of the card is my favorite. I love the Hey Birthday Chick bundle too, and the chick inside the card is from that.

The Hey Birthday Chick is in the new catalog, but sadly, the Hey Chick isn’t, BUT! You can still purchase it through 6/30/21! I got this stamp set back in 2017 when it was a SAB item and I never got rid  of it. And I still won’t!!

The last few days I could not think of ANYTHING to make! I hate it when my mojo is on vacation! Yesterday, I thought of this card and decided I would make it more “manly”. I showed it to my husband and he laughed! Success!

I made the fence crooked because have you ever been to a farm where the fence was perfect? I haven’t!

I made the background with the amazing and wonderful Blender Brushes. They are in the new catalog!!

Jungle Wishes & Crocodile Kisses!

OK, after I made those butterfly cards that so many people loved, my creative mojo decided to take a long nap. Very long! I always go in my stamp room several times a day and tried for the last two weeks to think of something.  I could hear my creativity saying “stop! I need a break!”

Well, OK!

The last few days I thought of something and I finally completed it today!

I wanted to make those crocs look like they REALLY liked it each other. So, I did the reverse stamping.

See my video here:

After I made it, I came up with some other ideas! Love that!

Luck of the Irish!

The Luck of the Irish!

St. Patrick’s Day is always fun! This year, even better with Stampin’ Up! free shipping! You have a few hours left!

I made this card quickly yesterday. The hearts were die cut and then scored in the middle, inked up a bit on the score line and outside edges, and then glued to a circle. The stem was a die cut from the Christmas Cardinal dies.

I stamped the sentiment and then die cut it with the Messages dies.

The Little Things- 3 Butterflies

Inside of the 3 butterlifes “little things” card

I showed some of my other butterflies in my video making the 2 butterfly cards. I decided today I needed to do something with them!

The two big ones were the big die cut (the one I used as a mask on the cards yesterday). I stamped some of the Art Gallery flowers on them, then used Flirty Flamingo and Pool Party cardstock for the overlay die cuts.

The small butterfly was die cut from the Butterfly Bijou DSP (I showed that on the video, too). I die cut the overlay with White Shimmer cardstock.

The big gold leaf is from the beautiful Forever Gold Laser-Cut Speciality paper- it’s on page 152 of the main catalog.

Once again, I decided to use the Messages die for the sentiment for the front of the card. The sentiment I used is 3 lines long- so I used a Night of Navy Many Marvelous Marker to color just the first line. I stamped it on embossed paper and then die cut it. For the second two lines, I inked up with the marker and stamped it inside the card.

Lawnmower and a Tree!

Another simple stamping card! I had so much fun making this- it was easy, about 10 minutes start to finish. I think direct stamping with no punches or dies for the images is fun, nostalgic, and great for new stampers!

Watch my video to see how I made it!
