A Very Shiny Merriest Tree!

This may be one of my favorite cards of all time! I had to take a picture on my pool deck- it is hard to get a good photo of a card with shiny paper!

I have SO many cards to post- and most of them have retiring stuff on them! November is a bit crazy for my family. And, the mini catalog lasted a lot shorter than years before. Not a fan, but that’s what happens!

This card was easy- I die cut the biggest tree from the Merriest Trees dies with the Granny Apple Green foil sheet. I then embossed it with the Distressed Tile 3D folder. I put Dimensionals all over it.

The Distressed Gold paper (5-1/4″ x 4″) was die cut with the Tiny Christmas Trees Dies. I added the Granny Apple Green foil sheet behind it (the same size).

The tree stand (part of the Merriest Trees dies) was die cut with Basic White. I put Wink of Stella all over it.

The sentiment is from the Rocking Horse stamp set. I stamped with Versamark and then heat embossed with gold embossing powder. Die cut it with the Stylish Shapes dies.

Tie a bow and you’re done!

On this card, the retiring products are:

Rocking Horse stamp set

Tiny Christmas Trees Dies

Melon Mambo & Granny Apple Green Foil Sheets

White Iridescent Ribbon

I have a PDF Tutorial for 4 cards I will never show anywhere using the Merriest Trees stamps and dies! You can see it here! It includes a shaker card!

This card was so easy but so fun and so beautiful when I was done! Gotta love Specialty Designer Series Paper!

St. Nick with some Petal Patterns Dies!

This is a bigger card- 5″ x 5″. I wanted to use the whole Petal Patterns die cuts and I thought with that big Santa, it worked! Using Real Red and Very Vanilla, they look like poinsettias!

The Santa is from the Traditions of St. Nick DSP. I die cut him with the St. Nick dies. The green paper behind the Petal Patterns dies is also the Traditions of St. Nick DSP.

For the Rhinestones, I colored the small ones with the Real Red Blends, and the big ones with the Mossy Meadow Blends. I put the big ones on top of the hollow center of the Petal Patterns top layer. The small ones on the solid center.

Here’s the measurements for the card:

Very Vanilla 5″ x 10″ scored at 5″

Traditions of St. Nick DSP 5″ x 4″

Scraps of Very Vanilla for the sentiment, which is from the Joy to You stamp set.

Santa on a Roof! Video and a New PDF Tutorial!

I had so much fun making this card. It’s such a classic Christmas scene.

Stargazing DSP for a Christmas Card! You can use that DSP for so many things.

As I started, I wanted Santa on a roof. Basic Borders was perfect for that. But, I wanted the roof to have a little bit more. There’s a die in the Saint Nicholas die that worked!

Here’s my video to show how I did this- it also shows the cards in my PDF Tutorial for Saint Nicholas!

You can see the PDF  here!

Skeletons with Tissue Paper Background!

I showed this card in my last video- the one about using tissue paper. This card uses the tissue paper as a background.

I used Gorgeous Grape, Fresh Freesia and Blackberry Bliss ink on the plastic this time. As I glued it to the Basic White, it tore in some places. I took some of my tissue paper I used for the leaves and filled the holes.

Watch this video- I show how I did that:

The skeleton and the dog skeleton were stamped with Versa on Glow in the Dark paper. I embossed with silver embossing powder.

The cat is from the Them Bones DSP.

The tombstone was die cut with Basic Gray. The middle of it is Glow in the Dark paper stamped with Blackberry Bliss (a Tricks & Treats stamp) and then heat embossed with clear powder.

The grass is Basic Gray die cut with the grass die in Bag of Bones.

Here it is in the dark!
