How About a Quadruple Burger?

I wanted a BIG burger for this Happy Father’s Day card!

I stamped it 4 times with Memento. I die cut and then fussy cut the top and the bottom on some. The top has everything but the bottom bun. The next two have no burger bun. The bottom is just missing the top bun.

I colored the burger like this:

  • Bun- Crumb Cake
  • Pickles- Shaded Spruce
  • Lettuce- Granny Apple Green
  • Burger- Pecan Pie with Color Lifter.

For the background, I stamped the Sketched Plaid first with Crumb Cake. Then flipped the paper and stamped again with Pecan Pie.

I die cut the flames with Basic White. I colored them with Blending Brushes with Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie, Crushed Curry and Cajun Craze inks.

The knife was cut with Silver Foil and Pecan Pie. (the die cut for the burger has a little slit on the top for the knife!)

The sentiment was stamped with Pecan Pie on Basic White. I fussy cut.

That Old School TV with Shag Carpet!

The Tune In Bundle has a very old school TV. I love it! When I started making the card, I thought shag carpet was a must!

The background paper is from the Take to the Sky DSP. I thought it looked like an old school wall, too!

For the carpet, I started with a piece of Crushed Curry. Using the cattail stamp from Charming Duck Pond, I stamped all over it with Crushed Curry and Pecan Pie. Using my scissors, I cut the top like a fringe. SU used to have Fringe scissors- I have one for sale on eBay!

For the TV, I stamped with Versamark on Pebbled Path. Embossed with silver powder, die cut. For the sentiment, I stamped with Memento and die cut. The antenna is Silver Foil.

For the window, I used the Stylish Shapes 3rd largest square die. I die cut from the background DSP. I die cut another with Basic White and colored with Balmy Blue and Blending Brushes. For the window grids, I die cut another square and cut the edges off, about 1/4″. I added the small piece of Crushed Curry on top.

Here’s the inside:

Happy Birthday with a Cart Full of Wine!

A cart full of wine is popular in Florida- usually during hurricane season. 😆

For the Cherry Cobbler background, I first embossed it with the Dotted Circles embossing folder. Then using a sponge and the white Pearlized Enamel, I colored the whole background to make it shine.

For the white circle, I first die cut with Deckled Circles. I then embossed with the Eyelet Embossing Folder. I used the Pearlized Enamel on it, too.

I die cut the cart with Silver Foil. The “bubbles” on the bottom are from the Simply Sparkling dies.

I stamped the wine bottles 6 times with Memento on Basic White. I die cut before I colored.

I colored 3 bottles with Cherry Cobbler and Lemon Lolly Blends. The other 3 I colored with Lemon Lolly (I used the Color Lifter to lighten the color), Balmy Blue and Bronze.

I added “squiggles” on all the wine labels with a Basic Black Write Marker.

I stamped the sentiment with Versamark on Basic White. Embossed with silver embossing powder and fussy cut.

Measurements:

Basic White 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ scored at 4-1/4″

Cherry Cobbler 5-3/8″ x 4-1/8″

Sketched Butterflies and Lifetime of Love Dies!

SU! has had butterfly stamps/dies/punches for a long time and I haven’t bought any in a while. The new Sketched Butterflies I loved from minute one. Love the sentiments and the different sizes of the butterflies.

I stamped all three with Versamark on Thick Basic White. I embossed with copper embossing powder. Die cut and then colored with Flirty Flamingo, Boho Blue and Pebbled Path Blends. They were put on Dimensionals.

I die cut the flower frame from the Lifetime of Love dies with Pebbled Path cardstock.

The sentiment is from the Sketched Butterflies stamp set. I stamped with Versamark, embossed with copper embossing powder and die cut using the Nested Essentials dies.

The background kind of came on accident. I had tried a technique with the Layered Florals embossing folder and it didn’t go well. So, I flipped the paper over and colored with Flirty Flamingo and a Blending Brush. That’s why the flowers are de-bossed.

I colored 3 of the Iridescent Pearls with the Boho Blue Blends and added those to the card.

Measurements:

Flirty Flamingo 4-1/4″ x 11″ scored at 5-1/2″

Pebbled Path 4-1/8″ x 5-3/8″

Basic White 4″ x 5-1/4″

Scraps of Thick Basic White, Pebbled Path

Congrats Grad of 2024!

We have one of those in our house! Our middle son is graduating this year. Still doesn’t seem real! I took two pictures- it’s hard to show the embossed images sometimes!

This card was pretty easy. I stamped the Watercolor World on Basic White with Crumb Cake. I then die cut with the biggest Deckled Rectangles dies.

I stamped the cap and the sentiment on Basic Black with Versamark. I embossed with gold embossing powder. I fussy cut the cap and die cut the sentiment with Nested Essentials dies.

The ’24 is with the Gold Foil paper and the Alphabet a La Mode dies. Use Adhesive Sheets on those!!

Basic Black 5-3/8″ x 4-1/8″

A Very Sparkly Birthday Card!

I LOVE Glimmer paper! When the new catalog came out, I decided right away to get the In Color Glimmer paper.

I stamped the Enduring Beauty stamp on Basic White with the new Basic Beige ink. It’s great because you can hardly see it, much lighter than using Memento. I colored using the masks and Blending Brushes. I used Petunia Pop, Berry Burst, Soft Sea Foam and Granny Apple Green. After I die cut it, I cut it in half so that I could have parts of it on each side, touching the edges.

The sentiment is from the new Simply Said Mix & Match stamp set. I stamped with Berry Burst. Die cut with one of the Enduring Beauty dies. I decided I wanted it to sit on top of something else. I die cut one of the Everyday Details dies with Berry Burst cardstock.

I tied a bow with the White Baker’s Twine and put on top of the sentiment.

I added a few Iridescent Pearls and colored them with the Berry Burst Blends.

Measurements:

Berry Burst 4-1/4″ x 11″ scored at 5-1/2″

In Color Glimmer 4″ x 5-1/4″

Scraps of Basic White, Berry Burst

The New Catalog is a Little Different, Right?

This new Annual Catalog is so different than previous ones. Great products, beautiful projects is the same, but the products are not all in one place- they’re all over the catalog. I decided I wanted to make an organized list to help see all the products by category in one place!

Each section (stamps, dies, punches, bundles, suites, paper, embellishments, tools and coloring tools) has pictures, prices, and the most important thing- page number! The embellishments have what colors are in each product, too!

You can find it here! It’s only $2! I finished it today and it has helped me a ton!

Let me know if you have any questions!

For the background on both the Basic White and Crumb Cake, I used the new So Swirly embossing folder. I added some water on the edges of the Crumb Cake and turned up the corners and some other areas.

For the sentiment, I die cut with Basic White (use Adhesive Sheets). I then added a dot with the Dark Real Red Blend on the bottom. Then used the Light Real Red and then the Light Crumb Cake.
