Happier than Happy with Rays of Light!

Happier than Happy stamp set and matching dies are SO DANG CUTE. I think I will stamp that bear 100 times!

After making about 10 holiday cards, I decided to take a break and make this one. This card would make the recipient smile!

For this card, I used the Stamparatus to stamp the Rays of Light with So Saffron first, clean it off, then stamp again with Versamark. I then heat embossed with clear powder. Then I used a Blending Brush with Balmy Blue ink to make the sky. Because of the embossing, the ink would not go on the rays, just around them. (Blue and yellow would make a green sun!). Easy! Here’s a video I made a while back that shows how to heat emboss any color! (this was one of my first videos, so excuse the shaking and bad lighting!)

The grass is a die from the Palms dies. I used Granny Apple Green cardstock.

The Sending Smiles was used for the “sending’ die and the sentiment stamped and then die cut.

Here’s everything I used:

In Memory of Max

Sympathy cards are hard to make. You know you’re making it for someone who is in pain and sadness. But, what’s nice about making them, is you can make them very personalized.

I made this card for a friend when her dog passed away. Max was a schnauzer. My dog, Maggie, is half schnauzer. Pampered Pets is perfect for those dogs.

I die cut one of the Scallop Counters dies and then using a Blending Brush, added the colors to make it look like a sunset sky.

Whoa! Happy Birthday!

Awe, my favorite chick! I stamped him once regularly, and then reverse imaged him. Here’s the video showing how I do that:

I colored them both with Blends markers. I inked up the new Spiral Die stamp with Bermuda Bay and the Blending Brushes. There’s a couple of things on this card from the new upcoming catalog (I’ll update the product list once they go live):

  • Spiral Die Stamp
  • Basic Borders Dies (the hill they are standing on)

When I made this card, I thought it would be cool for a teenager. I showed it to my 15 year old and he laughed and said “those look like teenage chickens. Or surfers. Duuuuuude!” Success!

What?

Oh, man, I love the Hey Chick Bundle. The chicken on the front of the card is my favorite. I love the Hey Birthday Chick bundle too, and the chick inside the card is from that.

The Hey Birthday Chick is in the new catalog, but sadly, the Hey Chick isn’t, BUT! You can still purchase it through 6/30/21! I got this stamp set back in 2017 when it was a SAB item and I never got rid  of it. And I still won’t!!

The last few days I could not think of ANYTHING to make! I hate it when my mojo is on vacation! Yesterday, I thought of this card and decided I would make it more “manly”. I showed it to my husband and he laughed! Success!

I made the fence crooked because have you ever been to a farm where the fence was perfect? I haven’t!

I made the background with the amazing and wonderful Blender Brushes. They are in the new catalog!!

Blossoms in Bloom Thank You

I showed you how I colored these blossoms on my last video. Here’s the finished card!

I stamped the sentiment from the stamp set Best Year with versamark in and then added white embossing powder and heat set.

I fussy cut the blossoms where they hung off the edges of the card.

Here’s a link to the video…

Beautiful Butterflies!

I got the new Butterfly Bouquet collection a few days ago. I loved it but could not come up with an idea. I die cut the big die and left it on one of my tables. Two days ago, I walked into my stamp room, so the negative die paper and came up with an idea!

I was so excited after I finished my first one- it looked like really cool background paper!

Check out my video to see how easy to make these! And look at my table after making the video!  A little messy!!
