Perfect Partners: Pigs in Love!

I do make some reverse stamping and die cutting a few times. For this one, I just thought it would so cute if they were facing each other.

The first thing I did was make the background with Blending Brushes and Balmy Blue and Granny Apple Green inks.

The tree between them is from the Happy Hedgehogs stamp set. I colored with Blends.

I used one of the sentiments from the Christmas Scottie stamp set. Like I said, it looks like they’re in love!

Here’s my quick video on how to reverse stamp:

The cute little bird die in the piggy dies- I wanted to make it look like the birds were flying the banner.

The background paper is the Kraft Paper. I embossed it with the Fern Embossing Folder.

Woo-Hoo Bears!

Like I’ve said before, I love those bears from the Happier than Happy bundle. So cute! I decided to reverse stamp one so it would look like they were giving a high five! Here’s a video I made of reverse stamping:

Since they are high fiving- the SAB stamp set- Amazing Phrases was perfect for it.

I wanted the background paper (the wonderful Happy Forest DSP that coordinates with the Happier than Happy Bundle) to show as much as possible. That is great with DSP like this- it makes a great background! When I first stamped the “Woo-hoo” on Basic White paper, it was going to cover a lot of the background. So, I decided on vellum.

When you stamp on vellum with regular ink, the ink does not dry (Staz-On ink will dry on vellum). So, I stamped it with Calypso Coral, then added some clear embossing powder and heat set it. Now it’s dry! I die cut with one of the dies from Stylish Shape dies.

“You did it” was also stamped with Calypso, but on Basic White paper. I then fussy cut it.

The Basic Pearls can be colored with Blends markers!  I used Calypso Blends on these pearls.

Whoa! Happy Birthday!

Awe, my favorite chick! I stamped him once regularly, and then reverse imaged him. Here’s the video showing how I do that:

I colored them both with Blends markers. I inked up the new Spiral Die stamp with Bermuda Bay and the Blending Brushes. There’s a couple of things on this card from the new upcoming catalog (I’ll update the product list once they go live):

  • Spiral Die Stamp
  • Basic Borders Dies (the hill they are standing on)

When I made this card, I thought it would be cool for a teenager. I showed it to my 15 year old and he laughed and said “those look like teenage chickens. Or surfers. Duuuuuude!” Success!

Let me know if you have any questions!

OK, after I made those butterfly cards that so many people loved, my creative mojo decided to take a long nap. Very long! I always go in my stamp room several times a day and tried for the last two weeks to think of something.  I could hear my creativity saying “stop! I need a break!”

Well, OK!

The last few days I thought of something and I finally completed it today!

I wanted to make those crocs look like they REALLY liked it each other. So, I did the reverse stamping.

See my video here:

After I made it, I came up with some other ideas! Love that!
