Pop & Twist Cards! Two Sizes!

I saw the Pop & Twist (or Pop & Fold) technique years ago, and saw it again recently. I love it!

After making a vertical card, I decided I wanted to make a horizontal one. I had to figure out the dimensions and thought I’d make a video of how to do it!

I show how to do both in this video.

This card shown is just one of the four I show in the video. I’ll share the others soon!

I also did a short video:

I first stamped the Rays of Light on Basic White with So Saffron ink. I stamped the tree branch (from the Perched In a Tree stamp set and Aspen Tree Dies) with Early Espresso. I used one of my water painters to bleed the ink a little.

The leaves is one of the dies from Aspen Tree dies. I used the In Color Glimmer paper.

For the inside, I used the kite die from the Playing in the Rain dies. The letters are from the A la Mode dies.

To see my PDFs of instructions (it’s two pages- one for vertical, one for horizontal), here you go (click on it to see both pages). They will also be under my instructions:

Trees for Sale 2 Cards- one without die cutting, one with!

The Trees For Sale stamp set is so dang cute. That little dog did it for me!

BUT! The Tree Lot Dies that you can get for FREE make the stamp even better!! SAB is here! It is a FANTASTIC one!!

The card on the left is mostly stamping and the card we made at my class. The one on the right is mostly die cutting.

For my last class, I decided we would do a card with the stamps, and a little bit of the dies (the camper). If we made the card with everything die cut, everyone would need to spend the night at my house!

We stamped the trees and the signs using the Stamparatus. The green glitter washi tape is from the mini (page 57).

For the die cut card- I stamped the trees, the dogs, the lights and the posts, and the sign. Die cut all of them. Since they were die cut, I could use a different background- I used the Gingham Cottage paper from the mini catalog (page 59).

The hills were made with the Basic Borders dies.

After stamping the dog with Crumb Cake, I added some spots to him using the dark Crumb Cake Blend. (did that on the other card, too)

After die cutting the lights, instead of coloring them, I used one of my favorite things from the mini- the Pearlized Enamel Effects- page 59.

So, I think both cards are super cute, but the dies made both of them so much cutter. That camper is a rock star.

Here’s what I used on each card:

Ribbon Trees! VIDEO!

I always look for big dies- this is something I use to do many years ago, die cut it on my card front, then put ribbon behind it. I love it- it can make a card look really fancy!

The Spruce dies in the mini catalog were perfect for this! Here’s a video on how I did it:

In the video, I made this card:

Rainbow with GOLD!

If you watched the video I made last week, the one with the rainbows, you saw the beginning of this card. Here’s the video:

I decided to make it different than the original one. We all know the leprechauns have gold at the end of a rainbow, right? I looked at all my dies and punches to see what would like a pot of gold.

Cactus Builder Punch

The cactus punch! For the pot- the tall one.

Turtle Punch

The turtle punch! For the gold- the big eye one.

I then used the tulip dies for the bottom of the card. I die cut them with Basic White and then colored with Blends- Polished Pink, Granny Apple Green.

I punched a cloud with the Rainbow & Sunshine paper (SAB!).

The sentiment is with the Happy & Heartfelt stamp set and die cut with Stitched Rectangles, of course!

Here’s everything I used!

Reversed Leaves for Something Else!

After I made the Ladybug card and video, I had the cardstock with the reversed leaves on it. I wanted to make something different, so I used other SAB sets to make this one! (The girl is from the Catching Butterflies stamp set, the leaves from Island Vibes, and the sentiment from Special Moments- all SAB). The beautiful brass butterflies are in the new mini catalog. They are gorgeous! The sun is from the stamp set Sharing Sunshine from the annual catalog.

I used Garden Green for the leaves and sentiment. For the sky, with a blending brush, I used Coastal Cabana and Crushed Curry. The sun was stamped with Mango Melody.

Here’s the video on how I made the leaves:

After tomorrow, I’ll provide the product list for this card and the ladybug one!
