I saw the Pop & Twist (or Pop & Fold) technique years ago, and saw it again recently. I love it!
After making a vertical card, I decided I wanted to make a horizontal one. I had to figure out the dimensions and thought I’d make a video of how to do it!
I show how to do both in this video.
This card shown is just one of the four I show in the video. I’ll share the others soon!
I also did a short video:
I first stamped the Rays of Light on Basic White with So Saffron ink. I stamped the tree branch (from the Perched In a Tree stamp set and Aspen Tree Dies) with Early Espresso. I used one of my water painters to bleed the ink a little.
The leaves is one of the dies from Aspen Tree dies. I used the In Color Glimmer paper.
For the inside, I used the kite die from the Playing in the Rain dies. The letters are from the A la Mode dies.
To see my PDFs of instructions (it’s two pages- one for vertical, one for horizontal), here you go (click on it to see both pages). They will also be under my instructions:
The Adorable Owl stamp set is a SAB set. Free with $50! I love them- they are so dang cute!
I used all new stuff on this card (all from the Jan-April Mini Catalog):
The branches are from the Nested Friends Bundle- page 25.
The “hi” is from the Conversation Bundle- page 39.
The grass is from the Playing in the Rain dies- page 51.
I love using different sets together- you never know what will work!
Check back on 1/5 for a full list of what I used.
More free stuff!! I own most of these-but you can never have too much Gold or Silver Specialty paper!! And, I wanted the Perch in a Tree stamp set and matching dies (page 46 of the mini), but hadn’t bought it yet. Now I can just pay for the stamp and get the dies for free! Sweet!

The Trees For Sale stamp set is so dang cute. That little dog did it for me!
BUT! The Tree Lot Dies that you can get for FREE make the stamp even better!! SAB is here! It is a FANTASTIC one!!
The card on the left is mostly stamping and the card we made at my class. The one on the right is mostly die cutting.
For my last class, I decided we would do a card with the stamps, and a little bit of the dies (the camper). If we made the card with everything die cut, everyone would need to spend the night at my house!
We stamped the trees and the signs using the Stamparatus. The green glitter washi tape is from the mini (page 57).
For the die cut card- I stamped the trees, the dogs, the lights and the posts, and the sign. Die cut all of them. Since they were die cut, I could use a different background- I used the Gingham Cottage paper from the mini catalog (page 59).
The hills were made with the Basic Borders dies.
After stamping the dog with Crumb Cake, I added some spots to him using the dark Crumb Cake Blend. (did that on the other card, too)
After die cutting the lights, instead of coloring them, I used one of my favorite things from the mini- the Pearlized Enamel Effects- page 59.
So, I think both cards are super cute, but the dies made both of them so much cutter. That camper is a rock star.
Here’s what I used on each card:
Card with lots of dies:
Card with mostly stamps:
I always look for big dies- this is something I use to do many years ago, die cut it on my card front, then put ribbon behind it. I love it- it can make a card look really fancy!
The Spruce dies in the mini catalog were perfect for this! Here’s a video on how I did it:
In the video, I made this card:
