To the Man Who Does Everything!

This is the card I made for my husband for Father’s Day. Since I used the He’s All That stamps, you could use that for other cards- not just Father’s Day!

My card has the “Wishing you a Happy Father’s Day” sentiment on the inside. You could change it to “Happy Birthday” or anything else!

I die cut a piece of Boho Blue with the Radiating Stitches dies, then embossed it with the Twisted Rope folder. I added some linen thread, and die cut a heart (also from Radiating Stitches) to tuck behind the sentiment, which is cut with the All That Dies.

The background paper is the Let’s Go Fishing DSP.

Pretty easy card! Most man cards are like that!

Don’t forget! More Gone Fishing cards that won’t be shared anywhere else:

Gone Fishing for a Father’s Day Card!

I made this card for my dad, so I can’t share it on Facebook until Father’s Day!

This suite can make so many man cards- birthdays, Father’s Day, retirement, encouragement, congrats, thanks etc!

This was pretty easy. I die cut the two pieces for the tackle box with Pebbled Path. The two fish are fussy cut from the DSP. I stamped and die cut the other pieces (don’t ask me what they are called- I don’t fish! 🤣) with Pebbled Path, Poppy Parade, Boho Blue, and Mossy Meadow. The hooks were die cut with the Silver Foil paper.

I stamped the sentiment with Versamark. Before stamping, I used the embossing buddy on the whole surface. Some of the powder got stuck around the edges, but I liked how it made the tackle box look. Tackle boxes are never very clean!

Here’s the inside of the card:

I am working on several cards using the Gone Fishing stuff. Pretty soon I will have a PDF that you can purchase that will show you these cards and how to make them. I won’t share them anywhere else! Here they are!

How About 5 Man Cards? All Made from the “He’s the Man” Suite!

The annual catalog will be retiring very soon, so I wanted to show you how to use one suite to make tons of cards. I could make many more cards, not just the 5 I’m showing here, plus some duplicates of the ones I’m showing!

The suite comes with stamps, dies, DSP that includes 2 sheets of die cuts!, and very cool Rustic Dots embellishments. This suite is PERFECT for man cards!

Ok, let’s get started!

For this card, no stamping! I just used the die cuts and the paper! I also used the dies for the argyle looking things behind the sentiment. Easy!

For this card, I used 4 of the die cuts (the grill, the “flippin’ awesome, the star, and the notebook paper looking thing behind everything). For the sentiment, I used the  Enjoy the Rhythm stamp set. I stamped with Early Espresso and die cut with the Stylish Shapes. The background paper is from the He’s the Man DSP.

Another easy card! I used 3 die cuts, the cars and the sentiment. I used the dies for the flags/banners on the side. I used Soft Succulent cardstock and then embossed with the Metal Plate 3D Embossing Folder.

OK, the next two cards are some of the unique ones. One is the Pop & Twist technique, the other is the Double Flap Fun Fold Card. You can always see my instructions for these cards and others under “Instructions”. It would be on the right side on a computer, or all the way at the bottom on a phone.

For this card, the Double Flap Fun Fold card, I stamped the stamp from He’s All That stamp set with Early Espresso on white and die cut with one of the dies from the die set. Everything else is from the die cuts in the DSP!

Here’s my instructions for that kind of card:

And my last card, the Pop & Twist. These cards are so fun and you can use them for any type of card!

I stamped the sentiment from He’s All That stamp set with Early Espresso and die cut it with one of the dies from the All That dies. I also die cut some of the argyles again, this time using Sahara Sand cardstock.

All the things on the inside are from the die cuts. The “happy birthday” is from the A Grand Kid stamp set.

Here’s the instructions for the Pop & Twist.

Ok! I used a couple of other stamp sets on these cards, but you could use any “happy birthday” stamp. 95% of what’s on these cards is from the He’s the Man Suite. I don’t know if the stamp and dies will retire, but even if they don’t, there is a 99% chance the paper will. Those die cuts can make so many dang cards!

Classic Authentic You! Man card!

I’ve been at a few things selling my cards. One question I get frequently is “do you have man cards?” We all know that man cards can be a little harder, you don’t use your typical stuff. I even had classes just making man cards!

SU’s Ready to Ride suite is absolutely perfect for man cards! Everything in it is one of my favorites.

For this card, almost everything on it is from the suite.

For the motorcycle, I stamped with Versamark on white paper and used Black Embossing Powder.

For the flames (one of the dies), I used one of the sheets of the DSP for them.

The background paper is all from the suite.

I was going to sleep and thought of a big orange circle behind the motorcycle. So I ran downstairs and die cut one so I would remember!

The next morning, I stamped the sentiment with Versamark, embossing with black embossing powder, then die cut with the circle dies.

I then used my Blending Brushes with Mango Melody and Pumpkin Pie ink. I added the Adhesive Backed Studs below the sentiment.

You’ll see more men cards coming up- I’ve been making a ton of them!

Perfect Partners: Neon Yeti and a Strong Yeti!

I made these two cards in about 10 minutes. I think they would be great for teenage boys! Encouragement and guitars! Cards that are easy to make and fast are IMPORTANT! Everyone has had a time where they need in a card in 5 minutes. Here’s two of them!

For the neon, I stamped him in Parakeet Party ink on Parakeet Party paper. For the guitar (made with the Rugged Icon dies- those are GREAT for man cards), I die cut it twice. It makes just the outline of the guitar. So for the outline, I used Basic Black. I then die cut again with Tahitian Tide paper. All the pieces that fall out, I glued inside the black. Pretty cool looking!

For the encouragement card, I again used the Rugged Icons dies. Did the same thing I did with guitar- cut it twice and fill in some of the parts. I used black and Sahara Sand.

The arrow and the saying are from the He’s the Man DSP. It comes with two sheets of die-cuts. I’ve used it on other cards. Some really cool stuff there.
