Stand Out Balloons!

After I made the last card I showed you, I had the foam adhesive balloons that I had die cut for the shaker card. I thought it would be really cool to have those balloons on a card that really stood out!

I die cut the die again using the Bright & Beautiful DSP and added to the foam. I added some Starry Sky ribbon behind them to look like the balloon strings.

The background paper is also from the Bright & Beautiful DSP. I die cut the confetti dies along the bottom, then added the same paper I used for the balloons. The color of the background paper is the new Lemon Lime Twist.

The paper behind the background is the new Azure Afternoon. Those two colors work perfect together!

I stamped the sentiment with Azure.

I thought I was done….

I just kept adding stuff to this card! I looked at my Ribbon Duo combo pack, that coordinates with the Zany Zoo/Zoo Crew. Since one of them is Lemon Lime Twist, I thought it would look cute to be bows on the ends of the strings. I thought I was done again! Here’s what it looked like:

I just wanted something else. The stars are from the dies. Used Azure and then embossed with the Stripes & Splatters embossing folder.

So, I like both of them and couldn’t decide on which one was better. What do you think?

Shaker Beautiful Balloons!

The Beautiful Balloons stamps and dies are perfect for shaker cards- some of the dies are HUGE. The Bright & Beautiful Suite has the bundle, plus 6×6 DSP and Gold Celebrations Specialty paper. I used all of it on this card! It’s all on page 14-15 in the new catalog.

For the balloons, I die cut them from Basic White cardstock. Using the foam adhesive sheets, I die cut them again to give me a perfect border so my sequins wouldn’t fall out. To see my video doing this with the diorama dies (so SAD they are retiring!), here it is!

The new catalog has some sequins, but we weren’t able to pre order any of them. So, I used the For Everything Fancy sequins- which is also retiring.

Instead of using regular Window sheets, I used the Gold Celebrations. It is window sheets with gold foil. The other side is not gold, but I thought it looked silver so I used that side to show.

The star paper is from the Bright & Beautiful DSP. I used it for the stars and the bottom layer of the the fringe layers. There’s a die in the Balloons that makes that fringe! Stampin’ Up! had a pair of scissors years ago that did that and I loved them! Still have them!

The balloon strings were die cut with the Silver Foil.

Here’s the inside of the card:

The blue paper and ink for the sentiment is Blueberry Bushel- a returning color. It’s a great dark blue!
