Happy Birthday with a Mediterranean Blooms Lemon!

That beautiful Mediterranean Blooms DSP has several sheets with lemons. No die cuts for that, but they are somewhat easy to fussy cut.

I decided to use Balmy Blue as my background and I wanted it to be embossed. I embossed with the Distressed Tile embossing folder. I wanted the embossed parts to show up more, so I used Versamark with my Brayer and then added white embossing powder and heat set. Wow!

I die cut the frame with Basic White and added some die cut flowers with Lemon Lolly. Glued to the middle of  the card.

I fussy cut the lemon and glued it on top of the frame.

The sentiment is from the Round We Go stamp set. I stamped with Daffodil Delight and die cut with the Stylish Shapes. Glued on top of the frame and the lemon. Added a few clear Opal Rounds underneath it.

Measurements:

Basic White 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″‘ scored at 4-1/4″

Balmy Blue 5-3/9″ x 4-1/8″

Scraps of Basic White, Lemon Lolly and Mediterranean Blooms.

Slimline Mediterranean Blooms/Citrus Blooms Card

This suite is so dang beautiful. The DSP has images that can be cut with the dies, which makes the card making fast! I used everything in the suite on this card.

I die cut two triple oranges and one single from the DSP.

I used another one of the sheets for my background. Using the Everyday Detail dies, I die cut the edges of the DSP (with the die that looks like “x’s”) so that some of the Daffodil Delight would show.

I stamped the sentiment from Citrus Blooms with Night of Navy on Basic White. Die cut with the Stylish Shapes.

I die cut two leaves from the Citrus Blooms dies with Old Olive. Tied a big bow with the Linen Thread. Put all of them behind the sentiment.

Added a few Opal Rounds in a few places. Done!

I left the inside of this card blank. I think it could say “happy birthday” or “thank you” or something about friendship etc.

Measurements:

Daffodil Delight 8-1/2″ x7″ scored at 3-1/2″

Mediterranean Blooms DSP 8-3/8″ x 3-3/8″

Scraps of Basic White
