Side Step Card with Fish!

I had fun making this card! Side Step is kind of “old school” but it can work with so many stamps and dies/punches.

Here’s a video of me making this card (and something new from me!):

And here’s the PDF with measurements:

Ok, what I’m most excited about is that I have made 4 other cards using the Gone Fishing bundle/suite. I won’t share these cards, but you can buy the PDF Tutorial that gives you pictures, measurements, step by step instructions and all products used! I plan to make lots of PDF Tutorials for other products- check back soon!

To the Man Who Does Everything!

This is the card I made for my husband for Father’s Day. Since I used the He’s All That stamps, you could use that for other cards- not just Father’s Day!

My card has the “Wishing you a Happy Father’s Day” sentiment on the inside. You could change it to “Happy Birthday” or anything else!

I die cut a piece of Boho Blue with the Radiating Stitches dies, then embossed it with the Twisted Rope folder. I added some linen thread, and die cut a heart (also from Radiating Stitches) to tuck behind the sentiment, which is cut with the All That Dies.

The background paper is the Let’s Go Fishing DSP.

Pretty easy card! Most man cards are like that!

Don’t forget! More Gone Fishing cards that won’t be shared anywhere else:

Gone Fishing for a Father’s Day Card!

I made this card for my dad, so I can’t share it on Facebook until Father’s Day!

This suite can make so many man cards- birthdays, Father’s Day, retirement, encouragement, congrats, thanks etc!

This was pretty easy. I die cut the two pieces for the tackle box with Pebbled Path. The two fish are fussy cut from the DSP. I stamped and die cut the other pieces (don’t ask me what they are called- I don’t fish! 🤣) with Pebbled Path, Poppy Parade, Boho Blue, and Mossy Meadow. The hooks were die cut with the Silver Foil paper.

I stamped the sentiment with Versamark. Before stamping, I used the embossing buddy on the whole surface. Some of the powder got stuck around the edges, but I liked how it made the tackle box look. Tackle boxes are never very clean!

Here’s the inside of the card:

I am working on several cards using the Gone Fishing stuff. Pretty soon I will have a PDF that you can purchase that will show you these cards and how to make them. I won’t share them anywhere else! Here they are!

Happy Father’s Day from 3 Fish!

I used a few techniques on this card. I’ll explain them the best I can- probably will make some short videos next week to show them.

Gone Fishing is one of my favorite stamps/dies/suites ever. It is great for man cards!

OK, here we go:

The fish are from one of the sheets of Let’s Go Fishing DSP. I fussy cut them.

The lure (the hook thing- I had to ask my husband and kids what it was called 🤣) was stamped with Versamark, embossed with silver powder, then colored with Boho Blue Blends.

For the striped paper, from the DSP, I used the wave die. First, I added Versamark to the die, die cut, then added white embossing powder.

For the sand and plants, I used the Seaside Bay stamps and dies. For the sand, my Crumb Cake cardstock was 3/4″ x 5-1/4″. I stamped the dotted stamp several times with Crumb Cake ink. I then die cut with the sand looking die. I used both for my bottom.

For the plants, I first added some Mossy ink to a window sheet. I then sprayed it with a Spritzer with water. I then added a piece of Watercolor Paper on top. Let it dry, then die cut.

For the sky above the sea, I used my Blending Brushes with Melon Mambo and Lemon Lolly inks.

I stamped the “Happy Father’s Day” with Boho Blue, die cut it with the tackle box dies in Gone Fishing. I then added some Melon Mambo and Lemon Lolly to it too.

Also, I have 4 more cards using Gone Fishing that I won’t share. I have a PDF that has the full instructions, pictures, products used here:
