Thanks for Making Me Smile!

I love the Notes of Nature & Lovely & Sweet bundles. I’m really happy that Lovely & Sweet is carrying over, but quite sad that Notes of Nature isn’t! They work so well together!

Anyway…

There’s a few things on this card retiring (besides Notes of Nature). The Dots & Spots die for the background and the gold Simply Elegant ribbon.

I die cut a piece of Basic White with the Dots & Spots die. I glued a piece of the Nature’s Sweetness DSP behind it.

I die cut the flowers from the Nature’s Sweetness DSP. I colored them with Calyspo Coral, Mossy Meadow and Wild Wheat Blends. I love all that gold! I glued each one in the bottom right and top left corner, cutting off what hangs over the edge.

I die cut two leaves and two flowers (from Notes of Nature) with Basic White cardstock. I used Blending Brushes with Calypso Coral and Mossy Meadow inks to give them slight color. I added Wink of Stella on top.

The sentiment is from Notes of Nature. I stamped with Calypso Coral on Basic White and die cut with the Everyday Details dies. I tied a bow with the ribbon, glueing (glue dot)  to the back middle of the sentiment. I added to the card base with Dimensionals in the middle, making sure the edges didn’t have glue so I could put my leaves in flowers there.

Today is All About You

DSP that has paper that can be used on its own, or has images that can be die cut are the best of the best. Nature’s Sweetness has that!

I cut the paper, colored the flowers with Old Olive, Misty Moonlight and Pecan Pie. I then glued some DSP to the side to even out the card.

I die cut a piece of Misty Moonlight with the Notes of Nature die. I then added the Gold Faux Leather Trim ribbon to it. Glued (Dimensionals) it next to, slightly on top, of the smaller DSP.

I stamped the sentiment with Misty Moonlight above the flowers.

I added a few Cork Rounds and DONE!

Hello Happy Day! Lovely & Sweet in BRIGHT Colors!

I have made SO many cards with the Nature’s Sweetness suite and I wanted to make a few with some bright fun colors. This was my first one. I love it!

When I was embossing/die cutting the “Hello”, a bit of the “oh happy day” die cut, too. It was missing the “oh” and I thought it would be so cute to have the card say “Hello Happy Day!” The sentiment on the inside could be “happy birthday”, “congrats”, “happy graduation”, “happy wedding day” etc!

I stamped the flowers with Memento, die cut, and then colored with Parakeet Party and Lemon Lolly Blends.

The “hello happy day” is Pool Party cardstock. I did at a little bit of Pool Party ink with the Blending Brush on the embossing folder. You can barely see it, but it’s there!

The beautiful background DSP is Nature’s Sweetness. I glued the flowers, then the sentiment. And then I added some Glossy Dots. Pretty fast card!

Measurements:

Basic White 4-1/4″ x 11″ Scored at 5-1/2″

Pool Party 4-1/8″ x 5-3/8″

Nature’s Sweetness DSP 4″ x 5-1/4″

Scraps of Basic White and Pool Party
