Fun on Wheels Congrats Card!

I wanted to make a card for a high school graduate who runs with my sons on the Cross Country team and the Track team. He is fantastic- unbelievably fast. He’s going to a nice school and will continue to run!

My kids’ school colors are teal and black. Their mascot is a Seahawk, so you also see some of the dark yellow for his beak.

Since the teal color is dark, and we no longer have Bermuda Bay šŸ™, I had to make Coastal Cabana darker. I took a piece of Coastal Cabana paper and using the Coastal ink and a blending brush, I put lots of ink on that paper. Made it dark- it looks like Bermuda Bay!

I die cut the dark Coastal Cabana with the Patchwork Piece die, and die cut another with Basic Black. Since it left me with half of each color, I made two cards.

So, my first card was this:

This was the card I made for the graduate. When the last mini came out (the January-April 2023) and I saw the Greatest Journey bundle, I knew I had to have that. All three of my sons have run since middle school. Cross Country and Track are a big deal in my family. I’ve made lots of thank you cards for the coaches using that one die of a runner. So, you can’t buy it anymore, but I will never get rid of mine!

For the next card, the bike one, I wanted to make it a congrats card too.

Using the Fun on Wheels bundle, I stamped the bike on Basic Black cardstock with Versamark. I embossed with silver embossing powder and then die cut it. The sentiment is also from that stamp set and I stamped the same way and then die cut it with Deckled Rectangles.

The background Crushed Curry paper was embossed with the Metal Plate folder.

I wanted to add a little more silver to the card, so I used the Simply Elegant Trim in a few places.

On the inside of the card, I stamped the Congrats from Phrases for All stamp set. I used that same stamp on the outside of the runner card.

Pink Happy Birthday Card- NO Stamps!

Everything on this card is new except one thing- the embossing folder I used.

I really love the Patchwork Pieces dies- I have so many ideas! For this one, I used the Bright & Beautiful DSP for the Patchwork. I also die cut the top balloon with the DSP.

“Happy Birthday” is from the Wanted to say dies. I die cut one layer with Bubble Bath, the other with Berry Burst. I cut the back layer so that I could arrange the words a little different.

For the frame (I die cut the Patchwork from the Bubble Bath so I could layer the pieces from Bright & Beautiful DSP evenly) I embossed with the Painted Texture folder.

So, no stamps on this card! That happens every once in a while.

Hey Chuck! It’s Your Birthday!

If you watched my video of more new stuff, you might have heard how excited I was about the Hey Chuck bundle. These chickens are quite cute!

For this card I only used Basic White and Crumb Cake cardstock. Everything on the front is Basic White colored! Tons of ink and Blends!

For the hills, I used the Patchwork Pieces die- the wavy one. I die cut it with Basic White and used the two from one edge. Ā I colored it with Blending Brushes and used Granny Apple Green and Soft Sea Foam inks.

The background is Boho Blue and Crumb Cake inks with Blending Brushes.

The sun (to me, the best die in the Hey Chuck dies!) is Basic White colored with Daffodil and Pumpkin Pie with the Blending Brushes. I stamped the sentiment on top with Memento Ink.

Blends for the Chickens:

Standing chick:

Pretty Peacock

Calypso Coral

Granny Apple Green

Cajun Craze

Crumb Cake

Skateboarding chick:

Daffodil Delight

Poppy Parade

Crumb Cake

Cajun Craze

For the fence I used the Medium Blends.

For the skateboard I used Gray Granite.

I added some clouds in the sky using the Waves dies. I added a little bit of Smoky Slate ink with the Blending Brushes.

Here’s everything I used:
