Every Halloween season, I always see lots of pumpkins with witch hats. So, I decided to make a card like that!
The background was made in my video Watercolor Techniques #1 seen here (it starts around 13:58):
For the pumpkins, I stamped with Pumpkin Pie on Pumpkin Pie paper. Die cut. The eyes are made with the negative pieces from the fence die in the Barn Dies- as is one of the noses. The star is from the Witch Hat builder punch. The smiles are from the Scalloped Contours dies.
Their hats are from the Bewitching Bundles. Stamped with Gorgeous Grape and Fresh Freesia.
On the ribbon, I colored the white part with a Highland Heather Blend.
For the bottom, the swirly dies are from the Rustic Pumpkin dies. I used the white glitter paper.
For the sign, I stamped the sentiment (from the Scary Cute stamp set) with Gorgeous Grape. I die cut with the banner die in the Scary Silhouettes dies. I then embossing with the Timber embossing folder. I cut a thin strip for the bottom and embossed that, too.
Here’s everything I used:
Here’s my second post and video of watercolor techniques! These three cards use different techniques than the other 3 I showed a few days ago.
Here’s my video!
Here’s the cards I showed with all the products used:
I love this bright card.
I love coloring embossing folders. With watercolor, you color after embossing.
I love apple stamps. All fruit stamps.
Here’s a PDF of Watercolor Techniques. You can also see other instructions on the right side (from a computer) or on the bottom (from a phone).
If you want to see the other three, here’s a link to that post and video:
Watercolor Techniques #1
This month, Stampin’ Up is having World Watercolor month! I absolutely love watercoloring. There are tons of ways to do it, so I’m going to show you 7 different ways. The video and this post has 3 ways with 3 cards. The next one will have the other 4 ways with 3 cards.- I’ll post that in a few days.
Here’s the video for today:

An easy card! I watercolored the daises in about two minutes. The grass is from the Palms dies. The background paper you can only get with hostess rewards! There is a TON of paper!!
This is one of my favorites. You could do this technique with lots of stamps!
This card is very simple- but I love the way it came out. You could make so many backgrounds with this technique.
