How about a card that holds a gift card? And is really pretty?

I made this card during this video, and it may be one of my all-time favorites. You’ll see the original card during the video. I made that one a few weeks ago. I planned to do the video next week, but the most important thing about this card is the die that holds the gift card. That sucker is on sale until tomorrow for 20% off!

I’ll share the other cards I showed during the video in the days ahead.

Here’s the instructions for the measurements of this card (you can also find it and others under “instructions” on the right (from a computer) or the bottom (from a phone):

Thankful Card with Hello Harvest and Gathered Wheat

I decided I needed to make some thankful cards, since Thanksgiving is almost here. I thought of having pumpkins with some stalks of wheat behind them.

When I saw Gathered Wheat, I knew I had to get it. My husband is from Kansas and he grew up on a wheat farm. His dad was a farmer, and my husband did a lot of farming too.

I colored the pumpkins using Pumpkin Pie ink on watercolor paper. You stamp, then use a Water Painter to spread the ink. I have a video showing that:

I did the same things with the wheat; I used Crumb Cake.

The background was made with Balmy Blue and Mossy Meadow with the Blending Brushes.

The sentiment is from the Gathered Wheat stamp set. I cut it with the Stylish Shapes dies.

Dogs with a Tree!

I love the Christmas Scottie stamp and punch bundle. My dog, Maggie, is a Schnoodle. She is half Schnauzer and half Poodle. She looks just like this stamp!

I stamped two of the stamps of dogs. I punched one, and fussy cut the other. I used Crumb Cake for both.

The tree is from the Spruced Up bundle. I stamped the tree with Shaded Spruce and then die cut. It cuts two dies on one die- it gives a border around the tree. I used that, too.

When I got the dies out, I noticed the string of lights die! I didn’t notice that before! I love string of lights! I die cut those with Basic White paper.  I then used my blends to color them.

The bow on top of the tree is from the Country Wreath dies.

The sentiment is from the Scottie stamp set.

For the background, my paper is Basic White 5-3/8″ x 4-1/8″. With the Brick and Mortar embossing folder, I first added some Smoky Slate ink on it with a Blending Brush. Then embossed. The ink gives it a little dimension.

A Dog & Cat Shaker Card!

I loved the North Pole Mischief stamp set when I first saw it. I decided to make a big shaker card with the dog and the cat stamp.

I stamped the stamp in the middle of the paper with Memento ink. I colored the cat with Smoky Slate, the dog with Crumb Cake, the ribbon with Sweet Sorbet and the box with Pool Party. All Blends markers.

The sentiment was stamped with Sweet Sorbet ink and then die cut with the Stitched Rectangles.

Here’s my video on how to make the big shaker cards- it’s pretty easy!

Witch with a Diorama Scene!

I made this card before I made the fish one I showed you a few days ago. I got a little addicted to the Diorama dies!

This card was a little easier than the fish one. I just used my Blending Brushes with Pumpkin Pie and Gorgeous Grape inks on Basic White paper for the background inside the diorama.

I colored the star paper with a little bit of the Pumpkin Pie and Gorgeous Grape ink with the Blending Brushes. I wanted to make the card a little dark.

The cat is from the Scary Silhouettes dies.

I stamped the witch from Best Witches with Memento ink and fussy cut her. The sentiment and stars are also from Best Witches and I die cut with the Stitched Rectangles.

For the shaker, I used the green sequins from the For Everything Fancy Sequins and the Sparkle and Shine Sequins.

Here’s the video on how I made the shaker:

A Halloween Diorama Scene!

I had many ideas for this card, and wasted so much paper and other items until I figured this is what I wanted. You wouldn’t want to see a video of me making mistake after mistake. I got a little angry at one point! I finally gave up on my original idea and made this one. I like it!

I first made the background using the Blending Brushes with Gorgeous Grape and Pumpkin Pie. I die cut the house and bats with Basic Black paper and then added Wink of Stella on top to make them sparkly. I die cut the moon with the white glimmer paper.

I die cut the Black & White DSP with the Diorama dies. I laid it on top of the background paper and traced a line around so I would know where to put all the die cuts.

For the bottom border, I used black, grape and pumpkin with the Basic Borders dies.

The sentiment is from the Scary Cute stamp set.

Easy card! It would have taken me about 15 minutes if I hadn’t had a million other ideas first!

Three Dancing Witches!

Who doesn’t love dancing witches?

If you saw my dancing gnomes cards, the witches are made to dance the same way- with the Candy Cane die. Since their legs have a space between them, you have to cut the die cut a little more than you do with the gnomes. Here’s some pictures to show you:

Here’s the video of making the gnomes dance, remember to make the witch dance, just cut a few more pieces off.

I stamped the hats and punched them with the matching punch from the Bewitching bundle.

For the tree limbs on the upper corners, those are dies from the Scary Silhouettes dies.

For the sentiment, I used Best Witches and I colored it with Write Markers: Pumpkin Pie, Fresh Freesia, Granny Apple Green and Basic Black. I die cut it with a die from Scary Silhouettes.

These dancing cards are so fun!

Gnomes Dancing for a Birthday!

Gnomes don’t have to be used for just the holidays. This card I made during my video of how to make the gnomes dance:

Another easy card! I wanted to add something in the background like I did with the snowflakes on the original card. I decided to die cut a few small butterflies (from the Butterfly Wings dies.) I used the Daydream DSP (that you can only get with host rewards).

For the sentiment, I used the Art Gallery stamp set. I love the font of those sayings.
