A Yeti with a Beer! Perfect Partners VIDEO!
I came up with this idea as I was falling asleep. I know many people who would love a Yeti with a beer!
I made a video showing how I made the small window and how I made the beer foam:
For the window, since I wanted it shorter than the die, I cut a piece of Early Espresso 2-1/2″ tall x 3″ wide. I wanted the window to be about 2-1/2″ tall. When you want to change the height of the window, cut your cardstock to how tall you want it. Then die cut like I show in the video above or my video of making the window into doors seen here:

How to Make Those Gnomes DANCE! Video!
Who doesn’t love to see gnomes dancing??
I saw that SU had shared this technique at a recent event. What a great idea! I’ve used it on two different cards, this one and a witch one that I’ll share in a few days. It is really so easy and fun!

Perfect Partners: Apple Harvest- How to Make Paper Look Like Notebook Paper! Video
When I look at apples, I think of teachers. So when the dies came out (only here until 9/30), I knew I wanted to make a thank you card that would be great for a teacher! And using the die from the Blossoming Happiness dies, I knew I had to make one of the backgrounds look like notebook paper!

Perfect Partners! Making a Gold Background with Masks!
The masks that are on page 128 of the AC can be used in so many ways. SU has had masks for several years, and I always buy them. And never use them. So, I made a goal for myself to use these!
I had the Glimmer Speciality Paper sitting around (on page 31 of the mini catalog) and knew I could make some really fancy trees with the Trimming the Tree dies (only available this month!!).
I thought it would be cool to open a card and see those fancy trees. So, I decided that I wanted to make a gate card and use my Low Profile Velcro to keep it closed.

I thought of what to have on the outside of the card. Tried a few things and didn’t like it. Then I knew I could make something really metallic with the masks and gold embossing powder.
This card has lots of fancy papers on it! Pearlescent, glimmer, and embossed cardstock!

Watching the Sunset on the Beach!
You might have seen this card on my last card and video. I made this card first, and then my husband suggested a Christmas tree on the beach! We are in Florida- it happens! Here’s a link to that:
After I saw this picture from the Ritz Carlton in Naples, Florida, I wanted to make a card that looked like that. I’ve stayed at that Ritz, it is absolutely one of the prettiest places I’ve ever been. And there are great restaurants! The Sunkissed stamp set was used for the chairs and umbrella. I fussy cut it.

Perfect Partners! Trimming the Tree- By the Ocean!
I hadn’t bought the Trimming the Tree stamp set until the Perfect Partners thing came around. I love it!!
For this card, I wanted the scene to look like Florida Christmas! So, besides Trimming the Tree, I decided to use Waves of Inspiration, Friends like Seashells, and the wonderful sentiment from Sunkissed. It’s perfect!
For the background, I used Polished Pink, Mango Melody, Pacific Point, and Crumb cake. I then used the Embossing Paste to make those ripples/waves in the ocean part. Here’s short videos (one landscape, one portrait) on how I did that (the portrait one you have to click on- you’ll love the music I used!)You’ll see some other cards in the videos- I’ll post those soon!:
I stamped the pelican from Waves of Inspiration with Sahara Sand and used the water painter to pull the color then die cut.
I reversed stamped and die cut another pelican. Here’s a quick video on how I did that:
I stamped the tree with Parakeet Party and Soft Sea Foam. Then die cut.
I stamped the starfish with Calypso Coral and then used a water painter to pull the color in the middle. Then die cut.
I stamped the shells with Sahara Sand and die cut.
The ribbon across the tree is from the Trimming Trees die cuts.
I added three small strips of Soft Suede to the bottom (I inked them up a bit with Soft Suede).
The sentiment from Sunkissed is so dang perfect! I stamped with Soft Suede, then using my blending brush, I put some Soft Suede on there. I die cut it with Stitched Rectangles.

Making a Background with Pearlized Enamel! Video!
I came up with this idea during one of my walks. I just thought it would look really cool. Well, after trying for about 4 hours, I finally came up with a way to do it. I show some of my “practices” during my video seen here:
I first used the die from the Organic Beauty die set as a template. That didn’t work. So, I just put my ruler on the paper and traced using that. It’s not perfect, but I loved the way it look.
I stamped the witch first. You can erase the lines on her in a few minutes. I don’t erase until I’ve put on the enamel.
Using a blending brush, use Mango Melody and Daffodil Delight- being careful around the witch.
You use the Pearlized Enamel one direction. Let it dry. Then do the other direction. Let it dry. Using the small end of the Blends, color on the top. I used Light Blackberry and Dark Pumpkin Pie. The lines are not perfect! Not completely straight, not all the same width! It’s OK!
Get a small piece of the white glitter paper.
Die cut the bats with the glitter paper. Color over it with the dark Black Blend. I wouldn’t do too much with the blends- it could mess up the tip. If I color a lot of the glitter paper, like I did on my American flag card, I would use the spritzers with refill ink and rubbing alcohol. You can see that here:
Stamp the sentiment with Memento ink on Basic White. Die cut, then use your blending brushes to put the Daffodil Delight ink on it.
For the coloring of the witch here’s what I used:
Light Blackberry for the hat.
Light Black for the hat, cape and legs.
Dark Pumpkin for her dress and part of her hat.
Light Smoky Slate for her hair.
Bronze for her pot.
Light Cherry Cobbler and Daffodil for the flames.
Crumb Cake for the wood.
Light Natural Tones for her skin (SU900).
I wanted bubbles to come out of her pot- so I used the Effervescent Elements. I used my multi purpose glue- I added a few dots of glue, then stuck those on top.
Now, I’ve come up with some other ideas on how to use this background for different cards. We’ll see!

A BIG Shaker Card! Video!
Another demo, Rachel Tessman, had a video making a card a “faker shaker”. I remembered doing something similar many years ago, so I was super excited to try to make a card with a faker shaker!
This card took me about 5 minutes. So easy! It may be one of my all time favorite cards! This card will be in one of my upcoming classes- if you want to know more about my classes, reach out to me!
