This month, Stampin’ Up is having World Watercolor month! I absolutely love watercoloring. There are tons of ways to do it, so I’m going to show you 7 different ways. The video and this post has 3 ways with 3 cards. The next one will have the other 4 ways with 3 cards.- I’ll post that in a few days.

Here’s the video for today:

Here’s the cards I showed in my video and all the products I used:

Making a Door with the Window Wishes Dies! Video!

I was looking at the Cottage Wreath bundle on my desk and trying to think of an idea. I really wanted a door to hang the wreath on, so I thought I would try to make the Window dies a door. Success!

It’s pretty easy to make the door- here’s my video showing how I did it.

I think I’ve decided what to do with the door I made in the video. I’ll post it soon!

Here’s everything I used on this card:

🇺🇸 Making an American Flag! 🇺🇸

Every 4th of July, I make something to honor our country’s birthday. This year, as I was making a holiday card, I die cut two of the Candy Cane dies and thought, “what about two- one Night of Navy, one Real Red, and place it on Basic White?” Boom! Red, white and blue!

After I did that, I couldn’t figure out what to place on top. I googled pictures and thought I would print one and then fussy cut it. I looked at American flags, then glanced at my desk where I saw the new Real Red & White Glimmer paper. Ding ding! I’ll make an American flag with that stuff!

It took me a while to figure out measurements, but once I made it, I was thrilled.

Here’s my video on how I made it!

Here’s a picture of how to find .15 inches on a ruler (look for the red mark):

Ribbon Trees! VIDEO!

I always look for big dies- this is something I use to do many years ago, die cut it on my card front, then put ribbon behind it. I love it- it can make a card look really fancy!

The Spruce dies in the mini catalog were perfect for this! Here’s a video on how I did it:

Happier than Happy with Rays of Light!

Happier than Happy stamp set and matching dies are SO DANG CUTE. I think I will stamp that bear 100 times!

After making about 10 holiday cards, I decided to take a break and make this one. This card would make the recipient smile!

For this card, I used the Stamparatus to stamp the Rays of Light with So Saffron first, clean it off, then stamp again with Versamark. I then heat embossed with clear powder. Then I used a Blending Brush with Balmy Blue ink to make the sky. Because of the embossing, the ink would not go on the rays, just around them. (Blue and yellow would make a green sun!). Easy! Here’s a video I made a while back that shows how to heat emboss any color! (this was one of my first videos, so excuse the shaking and bad lighting!)

The grass is a die from the Palms dies. I used Granny Apple Green cardstock.

The Sending Smiles was used for the “sending’ die and the sentiment stamped and then die cut.

Rays of Light with Gilded Leafing! VIDEO!

I got the new stamp sets Rays of Light and Big Hooray a few weeks ago. I love them both! I’ve used both on several cards. I decided I wanted a card that showed the Rays of Light in full. Then I had an idea- make those rays really stand out!

Here’s my video on how I made this card!

Hues of Happiness!

This new suite is so beautiful- the paper was used on three different cards! I’ll give the product lists for each individual card in separate posts. This post is about this card, the one I made for my mom for Mother’s Day.
