I bought the Picture This dies many months ago and have never used it. I was looking at the Peaceful Place Suite (pages 36-38 in Mini Catalog) and thought of an idea. Yep, I made a card with a sun and the next day I made one with a snow look. I’m not a huge fan of snow, but it is very pretty! We Floridians don’t get snow! (Sometimes some of us do once in while).
I’m not sure why the trees would be in those rectangles, but I really liked the way it came out!
When you die cut the Picture This dies, keep the rectangles or circles that it cuts out! I’ll show you a card I made with those tomorrow!
OK! I just sent a bunch of you an invite to join my Remind group. It’s really me! Some of you may know about my terrible hack on Facebook, Instagram, and a few others a few weeks ago. Fortunately, I was not hacked again!
I started using Remind a few years ago- all my kids’ teachers/coaches use it. Employers use it too. I decided to set up my own.
I will put an announcement any time I post on this site. Pictures, videos, upcoming classes, instructions, current sales, upcoming garage sales, etc.
You don’t have to have the Remind app- it can just be texts. Every one will have a link to this site. But you need to join it to get the texts or notifications when I post something!
If you didn’t get an invite, follow the picture above to join the group! Again, you don’t have to have the app- everything can just be a text. This is easier for me then trying to text a bunch of people!
I had some of the leftover Be Dazzling paper that I had inked up with Daffodil Delight refill ink and the Spritzers (you can see the video of it in the post below).
I cut it with the circle dies and then used After the Storm stamp set to stamp the rays, birds, and sentiment. The rays were Daffodil Delight and Mango Melody.
I bought these papers several months ago and never even really looked at them. When I did, whoa. That stuff is so sparkly and so dang pretty!
For the leaves card, I made this for a class I had last week.
I die cut the leaves from the Soft Succulent shimmer vellum. You could die cut something big and just place it on plain Basic White cardstock and that card would be gorgeous!!
For the circle swirls, I used the stamp set “Sparkle of the Season” that’s in the mini catalog. I used the Stamparatus to stamp all three- two in Bumblebee and one in Misty Moonlight. During the class, I showed everyone how to do it, so I had an extra one and decided to make something totally different.
I got out the Ombre paper and what the what??? It is also so sparkly!!! Gorgeous!
I die cut the stars and put them inside the circle. I wanted to add Balmy Blue in some way, so I got out one of my Stampin’ Spritzers and my ink refill in Balmy Blue.
I added 10 drops of the ink, and then added 91% rubbing alcohol about 3/4 full in the Spritzer. I sprayed that on top to give it a little color. I’ll have a video soon of doing this with another paper that comes out so dang good!
The sentiment is from “Create with Friends”. I stamped it with Misty Moonlight and then fussy cut it.
I love to show how you can use a very similar thing on two cards and make them totally different! Holler if any questions!
The Merriest Moments Bundle in the new mini catalog is a Hybrid Embossing Folder! There is another Hybrid in the AC (annual catalog) that was new this year. It took me a while to learn how to use it, but now they are one of my favorites!
In this video, I show you how I made the 4 cards above. I will show all of them individually with the products used shown.
I had this idea as I was falling asleep the other night- a witch in front of a moon! This great Halloween stamp set: Frightfully Cute will be available to order on 8/3- it’s in the new mini catalog!
I love using stamp sets that aren’t meant for a holiday necessarily- like the To the Moon stamp! I have used it many times.
Check out my video to see how I made this card and check below to see all the products I used.
When I first saw the Give It a Whirl dies (page 163 of the Annual Catalog), I loved the clouds dies and for that reason, it made it to my list. When it got it, I used the clouds dies right away (they are awesome- three different sizes and all are stitched).
A few weeks ago, I decided to use the rest of the dies and became a little obsessed! I love making these kinds of cards.
My video is long, but I show you how I use them and give you some tricks and tips. I also show you several cards I’ve made using the dies. I’ll have the other cards posted here in the next few weeks with the product list for each one. The product list listed here is for the card I made during the video. Some of the products used are not purchasable right now, so I’ll have to add those products on 8/3.
