Trusty Tools for a Teacher Card!

When I saw that pencil stamp and die in Trusty Tools, I knew this would make a great teacher card!

I wanted the background to look like a chalkboard. So, I die cut the Radiating Stitches biggest die with Crumb Cake, then cut the next size out of the middle to make a frame. With Basic Black cardstock, I used a sponge and some White ink to make it look like how most chalkboards in classrooms look!

I stamped the pencils 4 times with Memento, die cut and colored with Blends.

I wanted something for the pencils to be in, so I looked through my dies and thought one of the vases from Earthen Textures would work. I die cut once with Basic White, then once with the Real Red DSP from the Regals DSP (to make it a little sturdier).

The “A” is from Alphabet a La Mode dies. The + sign was from the middle of the weather vane die from the Hey Chuck dies. Use Adhesive Sheets on those! Makes it much easier.

The “thank you” is from Trusty Tools. I stamped with Versamark and used white embossing powder.

Measurements:

Real Red 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ scored at 4-1/4″

Basic Black 4-1/2″ x 3-1/2″

Crumb Cake 5-1/4″ x 4″

Scraps of Regals DSP

Scraps if Basic White

Happy Father’s Day with a Toolbox!

You have less than 2 weeks to get SAB stuff- including the Trusty Toolbox DSP!

I die cut the toolbox with Gray Granite. To add some lines on it, I used a ruler and the Smoky Slate Blends.

I stamped the hammer, tape measure and the wrench with Memento Black. I colored them with Gray Granite and Blueberry Bushel Blends. Since there isn’t a Crushed Curry Blend, I used a Blender Pen and the Crushed Curry ink to color.

The drill was cut with Blueberry Bushel and silver paper.

The background paper is the Trusty Toolbox DSP. I added the top border with Gray Granite and the Basic Borders dies.

I stamped the sentiment on the toolbox with Blueberry Bushel ink.

Measurements:

Basic White 5-1/2″ 8-1/2″ scored at 4-1/4″

BlueBerry Bushel 5-3/8″ x 4-1/8″

Trusty Tools DSP 5-1/4″ x 4″

Gray Granite 5-1/4″ x 1/2″

Scraps of Gray Granite

Scraps of Blueberry Bushel

Scraps of Basic White

I have a PDF Tutorial using the Trusty Tools. 4 cards I won’t share anywhere else! The PDF includes photos, measurements, all supplies used and step by step instructions. You can see it here!

You’re the Most Awesome- Trusty Tools Slimline Card!

I love slimline cards! This one is full of the Trusty Toolbox DSP- which is only available until the end of this month!

For the pegboard- I used two sheets of Copper Clay that were 2-3/8″ x 3-3/4″ and die cut.

The tools are from the DSP- some can be die cut, some fussy cut.

The sentiment is from the Trusty Tools stamp set. I stamped with Copper Clay on Basic White and die cut with the Deckled Rectangles.

The nuts and bolts were die cut with silver paper on adhesive sheets.

Measurements:

Copper Clay 8-1/2″ x 7″ scored at 3-1/2″

Trusty Tools DSP 8-1/4″ x 3-1/4″

Copper Clay for Pegboard: (2) 2-3/8″ x 3-3/4″

Trusty Tools DSP for the tools

Scraps of silver for the nuts & bolts

I have a PDF Tutorial for the Trusty Tools bundle. 4 cards that include photos, measurements, all products used and step by step instructions. You can see the Trusty Tools here or all the PDFs here.

Happy Birthday with Paint Brushes! NEW PDF!

I bought the Trusty Tools Bundle right away.  I sell cards at events and the #1 thing I’m asked “do you have cards for men?” Man cards aren’t as fancy and sparkly or honestly, even as fun to make, but stamps and dies like this make it easy. Another bonus thing? SAB has a DSP that coordinates with this bundle! Great paper!

For this card, I die cut the big paint brushes from the DSP and fussy cut the smaller ones.

I die cut the piece of Gray Granite twice with the Trusty Tools die- the one that looks like a pegboard.

For the Crushed Curry behind the pegboard, I took a pair of scissors around the edges to give it some “frayed” edges.

“Happy Birthday” is from Hello Kiwi. I honestly think every stamp set should have a “Happy Birthday”! I die cut it and the layer behind it with the Everyday Details dies.

I stamped the paint edge on the bottom of the Basic White to match the paint brushes. Crushed Curry and Lost Lagoon. I then embossed the paper with the Painted Texture folder.

I didn’t want to use brads on the paint brushes- I wanted my card to be pretty flat. So, I used the Monkey punch for the circles and glued those on the paint brush handles.

No Dimensionals on this card!

Measurements:

Lost Lagoon 4-1/4″ x 11″ scored at 5-1/2″

Basic White 4-1/8″ x 5-3/8″

Crushed Curry 4-1/8″ x 1-3/4″

Gray Granite 4-1/8″ x 1-1/2″

Scraps of Basic White

Scraps of Lost Lagoon
