Perfect Partners! Making a Gold Background with Masks!

The masks that are on page 128 of the AC can be used in so many ways. SU has had masks for several years, and I always buy them. And never use them. So, I made a goal for myself to use these!

I had the Glimmer Speciality Paper sitting around (on page 31 of the mini catalog) and knew I could make some really fancy trees with the Trimming the Tree dies (only available this month!!).

I thought it would be cool to open a card and see those fancy trees. So, I decided that I wanted to make a gate card and use my Low Profile Velcro to keep it closed.

Here’s a link to a different size of the Low Profile Velcro I used (the size I used isn’t available now):

Velcro Low Profile

I thought of what to have on the outside of the card. Tried a few things and didn’t like it. Then I knew I could make something really metallic with the masks and gold embossing powder.

This card has lots of fancy papers on it! Pearlescent, glimmer, and embossed cardstock!

Here’s the full video of me making this card:

And here’s my short one!

Perfect Partners x 2: Yetis with a Christmas Tree!

Out of all my supplies, I didn’t have a tree stamp/die that looked the right size to be with the yetis. When Perfect Partners came around, I knew I had to get those trees!

Lots of snow on this card!

All the dies on this card, except the die to die cut the sentiment, are part of Perfect Partners and ONLY AVAILABLE until 9/30 or when they sell out!

First, I made a night background with my Blending Brushes. I used Night of Navy, Polished Pink, Granny Apple Green, Gorgeous Grape, and Mango Melody.

I stamped a yeti with Balmy Blue and die cut. I then did a reverse stamping and die cut so they could face each other. Here’s a quick video on how I do that:

I stamped the tree with Soft Sea Foam and Pear Pizzazz. Die cut it.

I die cut the tree stand with the Silver Foil paper (it has 3 different finish/colors). I die cut the bows with Silver Foil paper with a different finish.

The mountains were die cut with Gray Granite paper.

The sentiment is from the Ringed with Nature stamp set. I stamped on Basic White with Pear Pizzazz. Die cut with Stitched Rectangles.

I then added the Snowfall Accents Puff Paint to just about everything!

Happy Halloween from Two Witch Pumpkins

Every Halloween season, I always see lots of pumpkins with witch hats. So, I decided to make a card like that!

The background was made in my video Watercolor Techniques #1 seen here (it starts around 13:58):

For the pumpkins, I stamped with Pumpkin Pie on Pumpkin Pie paper. Die cut. The eyes are made with the negative pieces from the fence die in the Barn Dies- as is one of the noses. The star is from the Witch Hat builder punch. The smiles are from the Scalloped Contours dies.

Their hats are from the Bewitching Bundles. Stamped with Gorgeous Grape and Fresh Freesia.

On the ribbon, I colored the white part with a Highland Heather Blend.

For the bottom, the swirly dies are from the Rustic Pumpkin dies. I used the white glitter paper.

For the sign, I stamped the sentiment (from the Scary Cute stamp set) with Gorgeous Grape. I die cut with the banner die in the Scary Silhouettes dies. I then embossing with the Timber embossing folder. I cut a thin strip for the bottom and embossed that, too.

Here’s everything I used:

Watching the Sunset on the Beach!

You might have seen this card on my last card and video. I made this card first, and then my husband suggested a Christmas tree on the beach! We are in Florida- it happens! Here’s a link to that:

Christmas Tree on the Beach

After I saw this picture from the Ritz Carlton in Naples, Florida, I wanted to make a card that looked like that. I’ve stayed at that Ritz, it is absolutely one of the prettiest places I’ve ever been. And there are great restaurants! The Sunkissed stamp set was used for the chairs and umbrella. I fussy cut it.

Here’s the video on how I made the ocean (this is the one with Beach Boys song!):

And here’s a longer one:

For the reverse pelicans, here’s my short video:

Perfect Partners! Trimming the Tree- By the Ocean!

I hadn’t bought the Trimming the Tree stamp set until the Perfect Partners thing came around. I love it!!

For this card, I wanted the scene to look like Florida Christmas! So, besides Trimming the Tree, I decided to use Waves of Inspiration, Friends like Seashells, and the wonderful sentiment from Sunkissed. It’s perfect!

For the background, I used Polished Pink, Mango Melody, Pacific Point, and Crumb cake. I then used the Embossing Paste to make those ripples/waves in the ocean part. Here’s short videos (one landscape, one portrait) on how I did that (the portrait one you have to click on- you’ll love the music I used!)You’ll see some other cards in the videos- I’ll post those soon!:

I stamped the pelican from Waves of Inspiration with Sahara Sand and used the water painter to pull the color then die cut.

I reversed stamped and die cut another pelican. Here’s a quick video on how I did that:

I stamped the tree with Parakeet Party and Soft Sea Foam. Then die cut.

I stamped the starfish with Calypso Coral and then used a water painter to pull the color in the middle. Then die cut.

I stamped the shells with Sahara Sand and die cut.

The ribbon across the tree is from the Trimming Trees die cuts.

I added three small strips of Soft Suede to the bottom (I inked them up a bit with Soft Suede).

The sentiment from Sunkissed is so dang perfect! I stamped with Soft Suede, then using my blending brush, I put some Soft Suede on there. I die cut it with Stitched Rectangles.

Don’t forget! This offer is available now from me! Only good until the products sell out or 9/30!

Here’s my 3 favorites: Apple Harvest, Yeti Party, Birthday Piggies. And Trimming the Tree is now moving up!

You’ve got just 2 more days until you can order! Don’t forget what I’m offering!

And here’s a link to that post:  My Offer!

This card has so many wonderful dies on it ( Because of the fabulous, while supplies last, only available until 9/30, Apple Harvest dies!) Everything on this card, except for the circle, comes from those dies:

The apples (obviously)

The flowers

The branches

The scallop edge

First, I stamped the apples with Memento, die cut them, and then colored them with Real Red and Old Olive Blends. (I die cut everything before I color it!)

I die cut the branches with Soft Suede.

I die cut the flowers with Basic White. I then used my Blender Pen with Soft Suede ink to give them a little color.

The stamp from In the Moment seemed perfect for this card! I die cut it with the Stylish Shapes dies.

For the background, I first used my Blending Brush with Balmy Blue to give it a light blue. Using the Pearlized Enamel, I made the lines with the White and the Red color. Here’s my video on how I did that same technique on another card (except on this one, I did not color the lines with Blends):

And here’s a short video on how I did that:

OK! Here’s the supplies I used- I’ll update it with the dies when they’re available!

I stamped the tree, the presents, the mountains and the bird with Sahara Sand ink. I colored them in with Blends. Then! I got to die cut them!! Because of the fabulous, while supplies last, only available until 9/30, Yeti dies!

Gnomes on Wobbles!(Craft Springs)

We made this card at my last class. LOTS of Blends coloring! It takes a while, especially when you have 6 people sharing them. But still cool! Many people changed the coloring- I love that! You never have to make my card EXACTLY how I made it!

The Wobbles (or craft springs) are really fun- here’s a link where I bought mine. I first looked on Amazon- crazy expensive. You have to be careful with Amazon!

Craft Springs

I first colored the background with Balmy Blue and Granny Apple green with the Blending Brushes.

Stamped the sentiment (from the Sweet Candy Canes stamp set) with Poppy Parade.

Colored all the Gnomes and Mushroom with Blends.

Here’s how I colored mine:

Blends (Gnomes left to right):

  • Pool Party, Poppy Parade, Bronze (for shoes), ML800 (Medium Light), So Saffron
  • Balmy Blue, Poppy Parade, Pool Party, Smoky Slate, M500 (Medium)
  • Pool Party, Balmy Blue, Smoky Slate, Poppy Parade, M600 (Medium), Bronze (for lantern), So Saffron
  • Pool Party, Poppy Parade, Bronze, D200 and D100 (Deep) for hair, ML700 (Medium Light)
  • Mushroom: Pale Papaya, Bermuda Bay

The wreath on the mushroom is one of the dies from the Santa’s Train dies. I put a few of the Fine Sparkle on top.

The lights are from the Trees for Sale stamp. Instead of coloring them in, I used the white Pearlized Enamel on each light. Let that dry for about 10 minutes!

Last thing to do is put the wobbles on!

These gnomes are so dang cute!
