Pop & Twist Cards! Two Sizes!

I saw the Pop & Twist (or Pop & Fold) technique years ago, and saw it again recently. I love it!

After making a vertical card, I decided I wanted to make a horizontal one. I had to figure out the dimensions and thought I’d make a video of how to do it!

I show how to do both in this video.

This card shown is just one of the four I show in the video. I’ll share the others soon!

I also did a short video:

I first stamped the Rays of Light on Basic White with So Saffron ink. I stamped the tree branch (from the Perched In a Tree stamp set and Aspen Tree Dies) with Early Espresso. I used one of my water painters to bleed the ink a little.

The leaves is one of the dies from Aspen Tree dies. I used the In Color Glimmer paper.

For the inside, I used the kite die from the Playing in the Rain dies. The letters are from the A la Mode dies.

To see my PDFs of instructions (it’s two pages- one for vertical, one for horizontal), here you go (click on it to see both pages). They will also be under my instructions:

Watercolor Techniques #1- Video!

This month, Stampin’ Up is having World Watercolor month! I absolutely love watercoloring. There are tons of ways to do it, so I’m going to show you 7 different ways. The video and this post has 3 ways with 3 cards. The next one will have the other 4 ways with 3 cards.- I’ll post that in a few days.

Here’s the video for today:

Here’s the cards I showed in my video and all the products I used:

An easy card! I watercolored the daises in about two minutes. The grass is from the Palms dies. The background paper you can only get with hostess rewards! There is a TON of paper!!

This is one of my favorites. You could do this technique with lots of stamps!

This card is very simple- but I love the way it came out. You could make so many backgrounds with this technique.

A New Way to See When I Post Something!

OK! I just sent a bunch of you an invite to join my Remind group. It’s really me! Some of you may know about my terrible hack on Facebook, Instagram, and a few others a few weeks ago. Fortunately, I was not hacked again!

I started using Remind a few years ago- all my kids’ teachers/coaches use it. Employers use it too. I decided to set up my own.

I will put an announcement any time I post on this site. Pictures, videos, upcoming classes, instructions, current sales, upcoming garage sales, etc.

You don’t have to have the Remind app- it can just be texts. Every one will have a link to this site. But you need to join it to get the texts or notifications when I post something!

If you didn’t get an invite, follow the picture above to join the group! Again, you don’t have to have the app- everything can just be a text. This is easier for me then trying to text a bunch of people!

Navigation for my Website!

I started this website in January of 2021. Whew! It’s pretty easy, but some things I’m still learning.

I have tons of stuff on here and it will only get bigger as time goes on!

Since the site looks very different on the computer vs a phone, my instructions show how everything looks on both.

I’m putting the “navigation directions” in this post but if you look in my top menu,  you’ll see a link to it also.

Let me know if you have any questions!
